On February 26th, 2026, over 40 students from Morgan State University attended MILE Advocates, the initiative’s third annual advocacy event. Students met with representatives to discuss literacy policy, share white papers, and learn more about Maryland’s representatives. Students got to meet leaders like Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller, Senator Anthony Muse, Senator Ronald Watson, and State Superintendent of Schools Carey Wright.
