Introducing Our Undergraduate Fellows

We are excited to spotlight our Undergraduate Fellows, a group of dedicated students who bring curiosity, creativity, and strong commitment to our team. These Fellows represent the next generation of leaders and we are excited to welcome them into the MILE community. 

Sahara Kapadia • Department of Psychology
University of Maryland

Sahara Kapadia is an undergraduate psychology student at the University of Maryland with interests in developmental psychology, social–emotional well-being, and applied behavioral science. Her work spans child and family research, qualitative interviewing, and community-based initiatives supporting mental health and caregiving, including hospice companionship, campus mindfulness initiatives, and overseas fieldwork. Sahara is particularly interested in global and cross-cultural approaches to psychology and is motivated by bridging rigorous research with compassionate, real-world application. Through the MILE Fellowship, she aims to explore interdisciplinary approaches to behavior, learning, and well-being with international impact.


Vivian Duonguyen • Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences
University of Maryland

Vivian Duonguyen is an undergraduate student and aspiring Speech-Language Pathologist in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the University of Maryland.


Armaan Whitney • School of Education and Urban Studies
Morgan State University

Armaan Whitney is an undergraduate student at Morgan State University with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. Whitney aspires to be a school counselor aiding students with their studies, aspirations, and mental health. Additionally, he wants to be a role model to young black men in his community pushing them to be leaders and move further in their education.
